I have thick full coarse curly hair. I have tried chi flat iron (http://www.chihairsshop.com) other hair straighteners, but the day I learned about Chi I threw out all my other styling tools. Over the past few years I've had extremely long hair and extremely short hair. No matter the length or style I had the 1" Chi always gave me salon results. Since using my Chi I have experienced far less damage to my hair and longer lasting results. I have been using the same Chi Original 1" Flat Iron for over 3 years and have never had any issues. And I am not gentle with it by any means. It's still just as hot and effective as the first time I used it. I'll never buy another flat iron!
