Failed marriage to Renee Zellweger was like sports injury: Kenny Chesney Posted: 07 Aug 2010 04:32 AM PDT Country music singer Kenny Chesney has revealed that his failed marriage to Renee Zellweger was similar to getting injured at sport. He admitted that he handled the separation the same way he would if he got “knocked down” during an American football game. “There ain”t nothing you can do about it. Just hang on for the ride. Now I look back on it as just another way of getting knocked down on the football field,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Chesney as telling Parade magazine. Irrespective of the split Kenny is open to another marriage and starting a family one-day. “Not at all. I hope that”s in the cards for me one day. “I hope I have kids one day. But I don”t wake up every day and miss that in my life,” he said. However, the 42-year-old star is wary about dating someone new. “The world is a different place now. I mean, if I go out with a girl, there is a possibility that she”s going to get up from the dinner table and go to the bathroom and use twitter to tell everybody what she”s doing. “And the next thing you know, everybody”s got a play-by-play of what you”re having for dinner. That would make anybody uncomfortable,” he said. |
Christine Bleakley, Frank Lampard spark marriage rumours Posted: 07 Aug 2010 04:20 AM PDT Television babe Christine Bleakley and football ace Frank Lampard have sparked rumours that they are planning to tie the knot. According to sources, Bleakley has set her heart on marrying Lampard on an Italian-style gondola in Las Vegas. The lovestruck pair checked out marriage packages during a recent hush-hush trip to the gambling city before Frank returned to pre-season Premier League training with Chelsea. Sources claimed the “head-over-heels” couple stayed at the huge Venetian hotel, which has more than 4,000 suites. “Frank and Christine managed a very low profile visit to Las Vegas with some of his family after their holiday in Sardinia,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying. “Both enjoyed their visit hugely. Frank has been a regular visitor to Las Vegas while Christine fell in love with the whole experience. “The Venetian is famous for its romantic wedding packages, which include the bride and groom being taken on a gondola trip. “The hotel”s waterway also features its own breathtaking Ponte al di Piazza, also known as “bridge over the square,” the source added. Former ”One Show” host Christine has been dating the 32-year-old soccer star for nine months. |
Lady Gaga believes she”s the reincarnated spirit of her dead aunt Posted: 07 Aug 2010 04:14 AM PDT ”Poker Face” singer Lady Gaga thinks she”s the reincarnated spirit of her dead aunt. The 24-year-old star thinks that her creativity comes from her late aunt Joanne, who transferred her spirit into her mother Cynthia”s womb. “My father”s sister Joanne died when she was 19 and he was 16. And when my mother was engaged to marry my father, they were staying in his house, where he grew up, and a light came into the room and touched her stomach and went away,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Vanity Fair magazine. “She believes that Joanne came into the room and sort of OK”d her for my dad and that Joanne transferred her spirit into my mom. “So, when I was born, it”s almost as if I was her unfinished business. She was a poet and a real renaissance woman, pure of heart – just a beautiful person. “She died a virgin. And one of my guides told me he can feel I have two hearts in my chest, and I believe that about myself,” she added. Gaga revealed she used to want to follow the path of her aunt and die at a young age. “It”s a bit of a sick thing when a 17 year old says in her nightly prayers that I would rather die young and be a legend than be married with children and die an old lady in my bed,” she added. |
Strictly Come Dancing bosses turn down Alex Reid Posted: 07 Aug 2010 03:41 AM PDT Professional mixed martial arts fighter Alex Reid has been turned down by Strictly Come Dancing bosses. Reid's management had wanted him to take part in the BBC1 dance show to raise his profile following his marriage to former glamour model Katie Price. But Beeb producers have snubbed the bid, claiming the cross-dressing cage-fighter is "not BBC1 material". "Alex is very co-ordinated, thanks to his fight skills, and fancies himself as a bit of a mover," the Daily Star quoted a source as saying. "But BBC bosses were less than impressed and they made it clear he wasn't their type of market," the source stated. After 34-year-old Reid's victory in Celebrity Big Brother, his agents thought he would do well in Strictly, and that he would also be able to show viewers his softer side. "With Alex's TV and fight commitments, Strictly Come Dancing would not have fitted into his schedule," a spokeswoman for Reid said. |

"Finding clothes that suit my curvy shape has been a struggle. When I was younger I was a trend follower without thinking if it suited by body shape," the Daily Star quoted her as saying. "Now… I stick to accentuating my waist as it helps to balance out my hips and boobs," she added. |

I am a scaredy-cat, says Dev Patel Posted: 07 Aug 2010 03:30 AM PDT Dev Patel has admitted that he is a 'scaredy-cat' and is afraid of spiders. “I”m not superstitious but I am a scaredy-cat in general," Contactmusic quoted him as saying. “The last time I was frightened was when I saw a massive spider in the bathroom. I had to run out in my towel and scream for my dad.” The ”Slumdog Millionaire” star, 20, is also in touch with his emotions and is never afraid to let people see him cry, even weeping while watching a movie in public. “I cry a lot but the last time was watching ”Brothers”, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire. I was on a plane with so many people walking around, but I couldn”t help shedding a tear,” he added. |
Taylor Swift being considered for ”Valentine”s Day” follow-up Posted: 07 Aug 2010 03:28 AM PDT Taylor Swift is apparently being considered for the ”Valentine”s Day” sequel. The pop star is reportedly being lined up for the sequel to the romantic comedy movie – where she starred alongside a number of A-list stars – but it is unclear whether or not her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner will be joining her this time. “They were thinking about having Taylor Swift be in college at New York University. They were throwing her name out there a while back," Contactmusic quoted a source as telling E! Online. “I don”t think Taylor Lautner would come back.
