Jordan, 32, had told TV viewers last week that her three kids now get more presents and holidays than when she and Pete were together. "Any child that has parents who are divorced are lucky. When Sylvester Stallone plunged into depression Posted: 03 Aug 2010 04:32 AM PDT 'Rambo' star Sylvester Stallone has revealed that as he approached the age of 50 he went into a deep depression because his movie career had stalled. According to Scotland's Daily Record, Stallone, 64, also said that he never thought he would find happiness again, after his two failed marriages to actress Sasha Czack and former model Brigitte Nielsen. But Stallone managed to reboot his career with his hit Rocky and Rambo franchises in 2006 and 2008 respectively, and found love again with his third wife, Jennifer Flavin. "I was very depressed about my personal life and my career wasn't in any great shape either," the Daily Star quoted him as saying. "I was also about to hit 50 and naturally you start to worry about how you age, how you look and what life has in store for you. "But I went through that mid-life crisis, if you want to call it that, and today things are looking pretty good. "You never expect happiness after you've gone through a lot of suffering in your life. A lot of my romantic troubles in the past were my own fault because I was too naive and too trusting of certain women in my life. "I was burned and burned badly. But I also learned a lot about women in the process, good and bad," he added. |
Robbie Williams to headline Help for Heroes gig Posted: 03 Aug 2010 04:31 AM PDT Singer songwriter Robbie Williams has signed up to headline a huge one-off charity gig for Help for Heroes, and will be backing Our Boys. Acts in talks to join Williams, 36, include Gary Barlow, Pixie Lott and JLS plus Kasabian, Stereophonics and more to be announced over the coming weeks. "This is something special for Help for Heroes," the Sun quoted a source as saying. "All the bands and acts involved feel incredibly strongly about raising money for the families of our Armed Forces who are left without their loved ones. "The bands in particular have been keen to get involved and offer their support for such a great cause because they are the ones the soldiers listen to. "As is always the case with these gigs, getting everyone in the same stadium on the same day is a logistical nightmare. "It will be incredibly emotional. "There will be some moving tributes to all the servicemen and women who lost their lives in action in Iraq and Afghanistan," the source added. |

Writing memoirs was like therapy: ex Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler Posted: 03 Aug 2010 04:23 AM PDT Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler said that he is glad he wrote his memoirs because putting his experiences down in print has helped him escape his troubled past. Adler was evicted from the band in 1989 due to rumours that his addiction to drugs was hampering his performance, and he has long struggled with his addictions. Adler was ordered to serve in a rehab last in 2009 after a 2008 felony drug charge, and his battle to sober up was chronicled on U.S. reality TV show Celebrity Rehab with Doctor Drew and its spin-off series Sober House. Adler, who has now given up his addictions, recorded his struggles in new book My Appetite for Destruction: Sex, and Drugs, and Guns N” Roses. He is convinced that writing the autobiography helped him forget about his problems, reports The Daily Express. "There are some really devastating things in the book, and getting those things out and actually reading the thing once I got them out made me realise I could move on with my life," Adler told the Boston Herald. "Working on the book, I did my crying and yelling and pounding on the wall and throwing bricks through the windows. Whatever it took to get those emotions out of me and onto the page, that”s what I did to heal," he added. |

You learn so much from them every day, it's wonderful," said Zeta-Jones. "My priorities changed when I had children. I have to be passionate and committed about something if it's going to take me away from them," she added. |
Charles Taylor”s lawyers request Naomi Campbell testimony postponement Posted: 03 Aug 2010 04:14 AM PDT Lawyers of former Liberian President Charles Taylor have filed a court motion requesting to postpone British supermodel Naomi Campbell's testimony for the war crimes trial. Campbell will bear evidence in a hearing at The Hague in the Netherlands on August 5 to answer allegations that she accepted a blood diamond from Taylor as a gift at a party in 1997. Taylor is on trial over alleged atrocities committed during Sierra Leone”s 1991-2002 civil war. His attorneys have requested for a delay in Campbell's testimony to give them more time to prepare their cross-examination. The defence team claims that prosecutors have failed to disclose exactly what Campbell is expected to say, while the prosecution alleges Campbell, who is being forced to appear in court under a subpoena, has been refusing to talk to them, reports the Daily Star. The decision regarding the request is expected on August 4. |
